Insurance and Payments

Before your arrival, please help to make the financial aspects for your care clearly understood so your appointment and testing schedule is not interrupted on the day of your visit. Please come prepared to pay your co-pay, co-insurance, and/or deductible. Payment will vary according to your insurance coverage, and it will be expected on the day of your visit. Our office is prepared to accept a range of payment methods, including all major credit cards, CareCredit, cash and checks. Please always bring your identification and insurance cards at the time of your visit. Our office needs to know all pertinent insurance information.

Our practice accepts most healthcare plans. For a complete listing, see our Participating Insurance Listing document.

Highland Retina Associates is a participating provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and many other managed care plans. However, it is important to note that many insurance companies require written authorization from your primary care physician before any office visit, diagnostic procedure, or intervention. Please check with your insurance provider or contact our office, in advance, for assistance with any issues regarding prior authorization. Additionally, we also accept patients who do not have insurance. You will need to make satisfactory arrangements with our office billing staff before your scheduled office visit.

We are aware that the treatment of retinal disease often involves the use of advanced technology and sometimes costly services; therefore, we always attempt to minimize patients’ out of pocket cost. Moreover, we constantly update and review our techniques to guarantee the best possible, most cost-effective medical outcomes. Please feel free to contact us at (812) 281-2608 with any questions you may have about insurance or payments.
